March 17, 2018 Beliefs

A belief is a feeling of certainty about what something means.  Most of us have adopted the beliefs of our parents, friends, community and nation.  Many of the beliefs we use actually keep us from being successful and having all we want in a fulfilling life.  For example, many believe if they have money they will be lonely and never find love.  When we discover our beliefs or in this case limiting beliefs we are then able to make progress once we create enough momentum to change.
Three beliefs of success according to Tony Robbins are as follows.  It must change now. I must change it now.  I can change it now.  The three steps to lasting change are, leverage, if you can you must, interrupt the pattern and create an empowering alternative.
The driving force or science of momentum.  Step 1, put yourself in a peak state, peak performance, physiology and focus.  Step 2, Find your passion, these are the values that drive you, love, hate, what are you passionate about, what do you really want, what drives you?  Step 3, decide, commit and resolve, unleash the power.  Step 4, Take immediate, intelligent, consistent and MASSIVE action!  Intelligently employed massive action can be a cure-all.  Step 5, Be S.M.A.R.T. and be honest with yourself.  It is important that we evaluate what we are doing and change it until we reach our target.  We do not change the target, we change our actions.
The secret to wealth and happiness is to become a team player.  Happiness comes from progress.  Progress shows up in the form of growth and in a sense of contribution.  People do the best they can with the resources they have.  There are no un-resourceful people, only un-resourceful states.  People’s lives are a direct reflection of the expectations of their peer group.  “The strongest principle of growth lies in human choice.” – George Eliot
